Lincoln’s Wisdom and Political Savvy

Abraham Lincoln had the wisdom and the political savvy to convey to the people a simple logic and reason that they could comprehend. Lincoln wasn’t all things to all the people. He did have the ability to focus on the calamity at hand and take the necessary steps to solve a crisis. This president had the foresight to realize that past political damage could not be rectified quickly. He was willing to be tenacious, gracious and forgiving, while at the same time being ruthless in his pursuit of saving the union. Abraham Lincoln knew that political policy during the Civil War would directly influence future events and critical national debate.

Lincoln’s advice of the day, resonates to contemporary events.
