Lincoln’s Philosophy on Responsible Government

During everyone’s life, each individual can remember significant events that they feel impacted their thinking, perception, environment or moreover global affairs. This writer believes that as before the Civil War, America is now faced with a monumental decision regarding the direction of the nation. This is not the first time the fate of ourselves and our progeny is at stake, however a point of reckoning is drawing near. We need to examine the past, in order to insure our future. Remembering Lincoln’s admonishments could hold us in good stead.
